Sacred Pathways

In 1-1 sessions we use embodied breath alongside various yogic modalities and the sacred sound structures of mantras to activate energy pathways and invoke wellness.

We discuss your needs and intuitively use combinations of Asana (postures), Pranyama (Breathwork), Mantras (ancient energetic sounds), to explore Meditation and Mindfulness along the Chakras to support the Mind Body and Soul.

"I was calmed and contented. When the music heightened at particular points I felt greater vibrations, noticeably around my arms. Towards the end, continuing the breathing I felt less engaged with the external world, and more absorbed in myself. When asked to open my eyes and re-engage with the room I was feeling more relaxed and absorbed" Matt

Hamsa the Swan, the sacred symbol of your Breath

Who lives comfortably on water or land but can also glide into the sky.

In yoga symbolism, it is how we describe someone who knows the laws of the physical and spiritual worlds.

Uniting the physical, spiritual and mental worlds is the ultimate quest of Yoga.

Hamsa is the principal symbol of this quest.

Hamsa the Breath

The inner guide on this journey is the breath. In Yoga Tradition, Hamsa also represents the life-force filled breath โ€“ prana.

Our breath keeps us alive, animates the body and mind.

The life-force that travels with the breath is invited by the chanting of mantra So Hum. This is the sacred mantra of Prana that summons it to glide through the person with ease, just like a swan glides on the water. Ham Sa, when repeated or chanted at length it becomes So-Hum.

So Ham So Ham

So Ham Shiva Ham

I Am That I Am

Hamsi is the Pulse, the sound vibration of the breath moving through the nadis (inner channels), the pulse is called hamsi.

So is the male principium (Shiva) and Hum is the female principium (Shakti).

In this respect, chanting So Hum mantra guides you to the union of the feminine and the masculine powers in you.

The breath is inhaled with the sound So and exhaled again with the sound Ham.
